The Synopsis

Dullindal meets with Athrun, and they converse over the situation. Dullindal tells Athrun that he should not be ashamed for being his father's son, because although his father's words had been misguided, Patrick Zala's intentions had been for what he had thought would be best for PLANT. The chairman refers to the words of the culprits behind Juniuz 7, and explains that they only used Patrick Zala's words to justify their pain. Suddenly, Lacus Clyne appears on a broadcast around PLANT, and Dullindal pulls out a screen for Athrun to watch. He explains to Athrun that this one is a fake substitution for Lacus, whose power he needs to calm the people of PLANT. The Chairman then gives Athrun a new unit, the Saviour gundam, created around the same time as the Gaia, Abyss, and the Chaos. He asks Athrun to think about it.
The fake Lacus Clyne's name is Meer. She meets Athrun and assumes that he is still engaged to Lacus. She manages to "manhandle" him into having dinner with her. Athrun tells her what PLANT needs is not her, but the real Lacus.

The Review

Wow I almost didn't recognize the fake Lacus from the real one! The main distinguishing features are the different forms of dress and personality. Meer tends to be a lot more revealing - a little insulting to Lacus's motherly image, I think - and a lot more immature. It doesn't seem to get through to her that Athrun is no longer engaged to Lacus. *Sigh* poor Athrun.
