The Synopsis

The impulsive attack on PLANT shocks both the world and those out in space. Dullindal continues to support his doctrine of defense only, and mobilizes ZAFT armies. Cagalli is having more trouble trying to convince her Council that signing the treaty with the Earth Alliance is a bad idea. Yuna tries to manipulate her into giving in by acting on her emotional side. Jibril is frustrated with the mysterious Stampede weapon that ZAFT used to annihilate the entire offending Earth Alliance army.
Meanwhile, the Minerva stays docked at Orb, and the crew enjoys a short break from all the fighting. Athrun, after his meeting with Dullindal, returns to his apartment. He is later interrupted by two comrades he had fought with back when he was with the ZAFT military. They have come to act as Athrun's "escorts" - really as guards - since Athrun is a civilian from a foreign country, and at such times of conflict, they can't allow him to just wander around. Yzak is furious that he and Dearka were pulled from the front lines by the Supreme Council to keep tabs on Athrun, and promises that he shall never forgive Athrun if he says he wants to go shopping. The trio pay a visit to their fallen comrades, Nicol Amarfi, Miguel Ayman, and Rusty Mackenzie, at the military's cemetery. There, Yzak relates to Athrun the things that he and Dearka have been doing the past two years. He tells Athrun to come back to ZAFT instead of putting all of his strength to waste. He explains that he and Dearka should've been dead a long time ago, but that Dullindal had stepped up in their defense in martial court, arguing that they had been victims of the conflicts of adults and should be allowed to create a better tomorrow.
Back in the Minerva, Andrew Waltfield, the legendary Tiger of the Desert while he was in ZAFT, sends them a message through a secret channel, telling them that they should leave Orb's territory now before it's too late. Orb will soon be signing the Earth Alliance treaty, and the Minerva will be treated as a hostile enemy. Captain Talia Gladys heeds his warning skeptically, and readies the ship to launch. Right before they leave, Cagalli comes over to apologize for the situation they're in. Captain Gladys reassures her, telling her that she did her best, and now they would just have to do what they had to do. Shinn doesn't take this news quite as kindly though, and promptly informs Cagalli of her inadequacies as a leader.
Back in his apartment, Athrun makes up his mind and makes a phone call to Dullindal.

The Review

Cagalli has all the right ideas, but no real strategy for pursuing them. Dullindal becomes an admirable leader, although what exactly goes inside his head is stil a mystery. I'm glad to see Yzak and Dearka again, even though Yzak doesn't seem quite as happy to see Athrun again lol. Marrue Ramius and Andrew Waltfield are also characters I'm definitely happy to see again. Maybe they've become a couple...?
