The Synopsis

The Minerva doesn't leave in time. They make it to the border, only to find themselves stuck between the Earth Alliance fleet and Orb's quickly advancing navy. Captain Talia Gladys explains the situation: Orb's military will attack them if they return to their territorial waters, and the Earth Alliance fleet will attack them as long as they are outside those territorial waters. They have no choice but to fight and cut their way through, or they will be caught between the two forces. As the pilots go to their gundams, Shinn becomes especially angry with Orb.
Cagalli has no idea what is happening until she finds that Yuna is at Orb's military base, commandeering Orb's forces to drive the Minerva out. She tries to stop it, and is scolded by Yuna who tells her that "...Orb is not your toy!" At first, the pilots of the Minerva fail miserably, until Shinn's "seed" bursts and suddenly he is able to destroy the entire advancing Earth Alliance fleet. Everyone is shocked at Shinn's sudden strength, and later congratulate him for it.
Kira and Lacus stand at Orbs shores and watch the battle. Kira wonders why someone is crying again. Back in PLANT, Athrun has made his decision to "re-enlist" with ZAFT. He is shown donning his old uniform again, and Dullindal assigns him a position in the highest rank of ZAFT's elite solders - FAITH - an honor given only to those who have a significantly rare fighting ability, a passion for justice, and unquestionable loyalty to PLANT. Dullindal tells him that it is enough that Athrun believes in his own justice, and will fight for whatever he thinks is best. Dullindal asks Athrun to act as the balance of power - if ZAFT gets too over their heads and does something wrong, Athrun will have the power to fix it.

The Review

I really hate seeing Orb as the enemy - so I feel more of a need to kick Yuna's butt than anyone else's >.>. Shinn gets a little too reactive about everything - to the point where he starts shouting at his own comrades...hard to admire that kind of character @.@;. Athrun rejoining ZAFT, even if "re-enlisting" is only a technicality, will cause problems with his friends in the future.
