Episode 14: The Departure Towards Tomorrow

The Synopsis

Cagalli manages to send Kira and the others a message telling them that she is getting married to Yuna for the benefit of Orb. She also sends along the ring Athrun gave her, saying that after she's married, she won't be able to wear it anymore and doesn't want it taken from her. As she makes her way to the wedding site she cries silently. Yuna notices and tells her they had better be tears of joy.
The former crew members of the Archangel return, and Marrue Ramius once again sits in the captain's seat. Kira decides that they will go save Cagalli from the wedding, and that he will go alone in the Freedom. When he arrives, he makes small work of the guarding gundams and picks Cagalli up in Freedom's hands just before the final wedding vows. Yuna cowers and wimpers when he sees that Cagalli has been kidnapped, and orders Orb's military to destroy the Freedom and return her to his side. The comander of the Orb naval force, however, salutes the Archangel as it descends into the ocean, sending a small prayer for the future of Cagalli.

The Review

So Kira saves his sister from marrying the biggest goofball in the world. Good riddance. The scene with the wedding doves flying around the Freedom was fantastic.
