The Synopsis

Kira and the other members of the Archangel discuss their next move. Kira seems rather annoyed that Lacus's image is being used by Dullindal back in the PLANTs, and Lacus herself doesn't look too happy about it either. Most of the members of the crew are just dumbstruck. They agree that they would probably know more about what is going on with ZAFT when Athrun returns.
The Minerva docks at a ZAFT military base near Gibraltar, where Athrun, Captain Talia, and the vice-captain of the ship meet with Joachim Rudl, commander of the Mahamul Military Base to discuss plans. Athrun realizes that the only way to get behind the enemy's defenses is to take advantage of the Impulse's ability to transform from three separate units - the only gundam small enough to sneak behind the Earth Alliance's positron cannon that holds the biggest check against ZAFT forces.
When they return to the Minerva, Athrun runs into Shinn on the deck. Shinn immediately starts to insult him about being the new high-and-mighty commander. Athrun asks him if he's really that angry about being hit. The conversation turns to the real reason why Shinn is in the military - because he wants to be able to help others with a power he didn't have to help his family back in Orb. Athrun then tells Shinn that he is wrong in thinking he is the only one right, and that he is being closed-minded. Once he has power, "...you become the one who makes others cry." Athrun then informs him that if he continues to wield his power blindly for the sake of his own sense of justice, he would become a destroyer.
