The Synopsis
The Minerva makes a stop at Port City on the Black Sea, in Diocvia, to find that Meer is holding a "Lacus Clyne" show at the local ZAFT military base. Many solders (all men) are cheering her in droves, and Athrun, looking what I can only define as horrified, steps back and tries to avoid the crowds. His fellow pilots are a little dumbfounded and confused at his behavior, since their last impression of the famous Athrun Zala told them he and Lacus were still engaged (this changed towards the end in the prequel series Gundam Seed; Kira and Lacus became an implied couple while Athrun and Cagalli become another).
Meanwhile, the trio of Earth Alliance pilots make a drive through the city, wondering at the happiness of the ZAFT soldiers stationed at the base.
Athrun, Lunamaria, Shinn, Rey, and Captain Talia Gladys meet with Chairman Dullindal over tea (...how quaint >.>;). Rey is the first to arrive with the Captain, and there is a curious scene with him hugging Dullindal like a close relation. As the others arrive, Athrun gets his first glimpse of another fellow member of FAITH - Heine Westenfluss (wow what a name!), Meer's bodyguard. Dullindal tells Athrun and the others about the whole meaning behind the war - and that there is a group even higher than the Blue Cosmos that is promoting it. This secret organization, the Logos, is currently being led by Jibril. They promote the war only for the sake of the money they can make off of it. However, Dullindal isn't sure how to deal with them yet.
As they make their way across the hallway of the grand mansion, Dullindal invites the pilots to rest there for the night when he is interrupted by the sudden arrival of an excited Meer. Meer pauses momentarily to greet the Chairman before jumping on a poor, surprised Athrun. Dullindal smiles and informs an ecstatic Meer that he has just invited them to stay temporarily, and Meer is about to drag Athrun away to the nearest dining room before Dullindal asks for a quick word with Athrun.
In a private garden, Dullindal asks Athrun if he has any ideas as to the location of the real Lacus. He tells Athrun that he really needs her help, even with the substitute Meer. Athrun has no idea about his friends' whereabouts, but promises to inform Dullindal if that ever changes. Dullindal, in turn, promises the same to Athrun.
The Review
The story in this episode is definitely funny. Especially with Athrun and Meer. However, the art is a bit different - for the worse, I think. All of a sudden, all the characters' faces seem to appear chubby and immature compared to past episodes o.0.
