The Synopsis

Kira has entered the battle, surprising both the Minerva and the Earth Alliance forces into a standstill. Kira stands guard in the skies as Cagallli appears in her own gundam, emblazoned with the royal signet of the Representative of Orb. She orders all Orb military personnel to cease immediately, and to remember the ideals of Orb. The moment of confusion lasts a while longer as attention focuses on Yuna, who is currently commanding the Orb naval fleet. Neo phones him demanding an explanation, and Yuna, under pressure, suddenly declares Cagalli's unit a fake, and orders Orb to fire at her. The Orb commander obeys grimly, and once again sends another silent prayer to the Freedom to protect Cagalli. Orb missiles are aimed and shot at Cagalli's unit, to a shocked audience, and Kira immediately moves to the front and destroys them all. At this point, the battle continues.
Athrun tries frantically to make contact with Kira, but is unable to get a signal. The three Earth Alliance pilots also join in on the fight, and Stellar gets into a particularly obsessive battle with Heine's Gouf gundam. Heine gets caught between Stellar and Kira's unit, and gets struck from the back. Athrun cries out as he watches Heine's unit explode. Cagallli is crying in her own unit, while Waltfield tries to get her to return to the Archangel. Kira notices Athrun's gundam, but since Athrun doesn't attack, he heads back toward the Archangel.

The Review

Very dramatic. I don't think Cagalli made a very rational decision in trying to get Orb to obey her now - once you've pulled out the guns, it's probably past the time for negotiation. Kira's actions may have seemed somewhat irrational at first, but when I think about it from his point of view, he is trying to protect and help his sister, and a country he fought with in Jacchin Due. His sole purpose for coming out is not to act as the agressor, but as the protector of Cagalli.
