The Synopsis

As Cagalli and Athrun walk through the Minerva to their assigned quarters, they pass by a group of the ZAFT pilots and personnel talking about how Junius 7, which was now on a crash course towards Earth, would have to be shattered, and about the inferiority of Naturals. When the mech crew member mentions that they should just let Earth be destroyed, Cagalli becomes furious and scolds the offending crew member harshly. At her sudden appearance, the ZAFT personnel in the room suddenly straighten up and salute her as the Orb Respresentative, except for Shinn who, like the last time, lets out another outburst denouncing the ideals of Orb. This time, however, Cagalli and Athrun learn that Shinn had been a refugee from Orb, and that during one of the deciding battles between Orb and the Earth Forces, Shinn's family had been lost. Now he blames that tragedy on "Yula Attha," Cagalli's father.
Back on Earth, it turns out that there is a group of high-classed, rich people of influence being led into creating a new war under the leadership of a man named Jibril. Jibril points out that wars make money, and is asked to create a plan for the renewal of the war.
There's a short scene where Yzak is shown as a commander of a ZAFT ship, wearing the same uniform as Rau Le Cruset did in Gundam Seed. He is being sent under orders to shatter Junius 7.
Back in the Minerva, Athrun comforts Cagalli over the loss of her father and over the new conflicts that are arising. When she falls asleep, Athrun makes his way toward the bridge, and asks if he can borrow a mobile suit. At first, Captain Gladys is ready to refuse to grant such permission to a civilian not of ZAFT military, but Dullindal overrides her. Dullindal explains that they will need every soldier available, and that this case with Junius 7 is not a battle. Athrun launches.

The Review

This is where we begin to see the development of Cagalli's character. I guess her naivete in the previous series won't work as well this time.
