The Synopsis

Cagalli continues to try to convince Orb's council without success. Chairman Dullindal calms the PLANT council and reminds them that the last thing anyone wants is to repeat mistakes of the past. He tells them that they will be mobilizing their military only in the name of defense, and nothing else. Jibril tells his group of elitists how they can take advantage of the incident with Junius 7's crash towards Earth, and how they shall deal with Orb.
Athrun arrives at PLANT and waits to meet with Dullindal. Meanwhile, Earth has dispatched nuclear missiles to destroy PLANT without warning. The heroes of the battle of Jacchin Due watch the turn of events grimly. Dullindal orders the activation of the Stampede - a weapon designed to neutralize and destroy nuclear weapons. This saves the PLANTs from the Earth Alliance's first attack, and leads everyone to a state of shock. All forces remain where they are in the short interim.
While waiting, Athrun sees what seems to be Lacus Clyne. Dullindal returns to see Athrun waiting for him.
