The Synopsis
Sasame revokes his alliegance to the Leafe Knighthood, and pledges a new one to Fenrir. Fenrir replies by sending out a blast of power that sends all the glass windows shattering and gives Sasame a cut on his cheek. She disappears, leaving a shocked group of Leafe knights staring anxiously at Sasame's back. Kei tells them that it's a good thing Fenrir refused him, and that now Sasame would have time to gather his thoughts since Leafe knights aren't supposed to have feelings for the Princess of Disaster either. Himeno counters him gently, explaining that falling in love isn't something you have power over, and that if she had felt the way Sasame did, she probably would have done the same. Sasame looks surprised at Himeno's words, and he nods to her before he disappears.
Himeno has decided to move away from the Awayuki household, thinking that if she did that she would take the danger that Fenrir represented away from her family. The Leafe knights build her a home in Leafenia.
Himeno returns to the Awayuki house to say her last farewells without actually saying them. She gives Tanaka a super-hair growth potion and Yayoi the latest romance novel by her favorite author. She brings tea to her dad and stepmother but ends up stumbling over the stool. Himeno tries to say her farewells to Mawata as well, but Mawata doesn't open her bedroom door.
Meanwhile, Sasame visits the old church where Takako first transformed into the Princess of Disaster. There, he finds that Fenrir is waiting for him. She asks him if he really did think of her all those times, and Sasame tells her yes. She asks him to prove his love by killing Hayate.
Back in Leafenia, the group of Leafe knights and Himeno are celebrating the finished product of Himeno's new home. They are interrupted by the appearance of Sasame. At first, everyone thinks Sasame has come back to them, but Hayate warns Himeno to stay back just as Sasame fires a blast of sound toward them. The group dodges it, and it shatters Himeno's new home. Upset, the group asks Sasame what he is doing, when Fenrir appears behind him. Sasame tells them that he brought her here, and challenges Hayate to fight him. Hayate refuses, and Sasame attacks, exacting minor injuries on Himeno and the others. Hayate gets angry and leaps forward to engage Sasame.
The others are about to jump in to stop them when Fenrir traps them with her power. She draws twin swords from the sky and throws them down toward the dueling pair, and tells Sasame to pick his sword up. As Sasame advances on Hayate with the sword, Hayate grabs the other pair and they continue their fight. Sasame throws his sword into the air and distracts Hayate while he sends another blast of his power at Hayate's chest. Sasame manages to get between Hayate's guard and gets to the position to kill Hayate but he hestitates at the last second and stops. Fenrir comes over and holds Sasame's sword to her throat, telling him that if there's a shred of Leafe knight still in him, he can kill her now. If he wants to prove his love to her, he must kill Hayate. Sasame, with new resolve, attacks Hayate with the final blow. At the last second, however, Fenrir blasts Hayate away out of harm's reach, and explains that she has changed her mind. She wants Hayate to suffer, and death is not enough.
She turns to Sasame and tells him that she has a new power to give him. They embrace, and when Sasame stands alone again, his uniform has turned a dark violet (it's assumed that he is now evil).
All the while, the Leafe knights and Himeno watch horrified and helpless. As Fenrir takes Sasame's hand and leaves Leafenia, they are released from the shield. Himeno shouts Sasame's name as the two exit through the atmosphere.
The group finally takes notice of the effects of the recent events on Leafenia - Sasame's transformation took away all the Leafe in the area, and nothing is left but dead lands. Himeno gives a last cry as she falls to her knees and picks up Sasame's earring.
The Review
Sasame seems to act a lot like an obedient servant in this episode...rather upsetting. Yet he did hesitate when he was about to "kill" Hayate, and he did warn Hayate to fight his best to protect Himeno from him, so I would assume that's a foreshadowing of Sasame's return to the good side (I hope).
Lots of drama in this episode, mostly revolving around Sasame and Fenrir.
The battle was rather bad, since the swords always hit the same point - rather than trying to strike at each other, it seemed almost as if they were aiming each others' swords than at each others' vital points.
