The Review

Overall Impression

I've never laughed so much while watching an anime series before Pretear. Himeno's character is absolutely awesome, a fun mix of tomboyish strength and a clumsy demeanor that fails to flatter her already-ruffled appearance. However, the main storyline of the series may begin to seem rather corny fromt he end of the first episode onward. The world always seems to need saving...haha makes me wonder why we aren't floating out in space pods right now.

The Artwork

Very nice. I especially love the way they drew Himeno's and, though the style is getting rather common and resembles the art of CLAMP, Sasame's character. The only trouble is with transitions, which I saw only once in the first episode with Mawata.
