The Main Characters

-- Demon Lord Raenef --

The innocent, most adorable demon lord I have ever known. He smiles and laughs in the middle of the most dignified assembly of vampire royalty, treats peasants with a happy smile or a joke (until he chokes it off and tries to act evil without success when he gets a glare from Eclipse), and fails to see anything from a pessimistic point of view. Definitely cute.
Later on in the series, however, we come to learn that Raenef is in actuality one to be truly feared - a reincarnation of the past, so-to-speak :). The last few scenes are pretty awesome, as Yin and Yang mix to create a new Raenef.

-- Eclipse --

The dignified babysitter of his superior Lord, Raenef. His reputation exceeds most of the many in the vampire world. The havoc he wreaped on the human world was "admirably devistating" and done with skillful efficiency and amazing "talent."

-- The Original Raenef --

The original Demon Lord who held the lordship before the new Raenef. He died without an heir, and the question of a new Lord fell to the old vampiric belief that every demon has a double in the mortal world.

-- Erutis --

Erutis is one among the knights who seek to destroy demons. She ends up fumbling sloppily when she tries to kill Raenef, and her pride is pricked when Eclipse makes quick and easy disposal of her. She ends up basking under Raenef's mercy and becomes one of Raenef's sidekicks. She's a little wacko though. The series makes a pun of all the idealists who call for the destruction of all evil and demons - Erutis is one of these examples.

-- Chris --

Chris is the other example of the pun represented by Erutis. He is the highest disciple of the priest of Rased, and at first sought to destroy Raenef as well. He failed, and ended up as another one of Raenef's new sidekicks. His overconfidence and irresponsibility causes his guardian, the priest of Rased, to actually ask Eclipse to take his charge in the hopes that he may grow in maturity.
