![]() Kyoto Bamboo ForestTuesday, June 2, 2009One of the best natural sights-to-see in Japan is the bamboo forest. I was lucky enough to find one on the edge of central Kyoto. It surrounds Nonomiya Jinja (Jinja or 神社 means "Shrine"), and also has a few cemeteries nearby. The whole place had a very nice zen feel to it - very quiet and peaceful. Great place to start or end any day.Took me about 40 minutes to bike there, and on the way I saw some farmland and couldn't help but take some pictures. Very cliche ones too :P. See more pictures of the bamboo forest! Plugs | flyin
